Jordan and the Easter Bunny, er, Easter Lexus

I hope everyone had a nice Easter.  Jordan and I did.  Jordan woke up around 7:00 a.m.  I had fallen asleep on the couch Saturday night, so I was right there when he discovered his basket.  He wanted to know if I had heard the Easter Bunny leave the basket or hear him eat his candy and drink the milk that Jordan left him.  I told him no, that the Easter Bunny is very, very quiet. I didn’t take a picture of the basket [not sure why...brain fart I guess], but it was so cute.  My friend, Kimmie, bought him a “Cars” Easter basket (to be from the Easter Bunny).  It wasn’t a traditional-looking basket, but Jordan loved it.  He got tons of yummy candy, which I sampled, and a Spiderman spin toothbrush, stickers, a Batman journal, some art supplies, and a few other goodies.  My mom and dad sent him an Easter ‘box’, too, full of candy and ‘prizes’  =]   I didn’t get left out…Mom sent a candle for me rather than candy, though I did eat some of Jordan’s chocolate bunny .

Jordan left a note, along with the candy and milk, and of course he got one back.  Here is the note Jordan wrote:

easter-005.jpg  It says, “Dear Easter Bunny, I hope you love the candy.  And I wanted to write this note because I wanted you to enjoy your time tonight and please send me a note and please put it somewhere safe.  Love Jordan”  That’s Jordan and the Easter Bunny he’s drawn.  Too cute!

We went to church (first service), and I forget how many people come to church on Easter who don’t normally come to church at all.  We had to park in the back forty and hoof it up to the main sanctuary.  All the lots were FULL, and we have several large parking lots!  I wonder if second service had as many people.

On a funny note, and so true to Jordan’s personality…on Saturday after the Eggstravaganza, we went to the International Plaza to get his picture taken with the bunny.  The day before at Westshore Mall, I wanted to do it, but Jordan didn’t like their bunny because he wore glasses, and Jordan didn’t feel he should be wearing glasses (seriously…that was his reason for not wanting to sit on his lap).  Well, International Plaza didn’t have an Easter Bunny, which I found odd, but what they DID have in the center of the mall was a Lexus car display.  Four or five of them parked there, all of which Jordan had to walk around several times inspecting the paint job; he had to bend down and check out the rims and comment on them all; and of course he had to sit in every single one of them.  So rather than a traditional Easter Bunny picture, I present to you Jordan and the blue Lexus, which is way more fitting for Jordan, who eats, drinks, sleeps anything ‘car’ related [I seriously expect him to be one of those boys with a souped up Honda or Acura who does the illegal street racing when he turns 16...I see it coming!]:

easter-015.jpg  Doesn’t his face say, “I’m in heaven”?  LOL

Most mothers who will scrapbook their children’s Easter memories will feature a photo of their children with the Easter Bunny.  Jordan’s scrapbook will feature “Jordan and the Easter Lexus”!!  =]

  1. This is so cute. I would expect no less from Jordan.

  2. Oh.My.Gawd. I *love* this boy. He makes me smile. His note to the Easter Bunny was adorable and the picture of him and the ole Bunny was precious. And the ’souped up’ car comment just made me laugh out loud. Give him a kiss and tell him I love him.
(and of course, I love you!)

  3. I’m sure once he saw the Lexus all thoughts of the Easter bunny were gone. It made him happy and that is all that matters. Kiss my darlin’ for me and tell him Nana loves him. Poppy loves him, too. and you, too.

  4. I am so happy that he enjoyed his basket… Even more I love that fact that he still believes in the Easter Bunny… I will have to ask him all about it on Thursday.. I just really want to know where he gets his car obsession from..

  5. ROTFLOL!! If his feet could have reached those pedals you’d have been in trouble Mom! LOL!
