This book is HILARIOUS.
I have a warped sense of humor so this book makes me giggle out loud. Here are a few pages of very sage advice:
Be sure to click on the picture to enlarge it. There are so many funny ones. What you just read is only a small sampling. If you [...]

I survived, as we all knew I would. =] I had myself pretty worked up, but the nurse was awesome, and it didn’t really even hurt when the needle plunged into my vein. It hurts worse when I cut myself shaving. So that trauma is over. My next ‘trauma’ will be when I get my [...]

Tomorrow morning I have to go to the doctor for a check up…I went back on Wellbutrin at the beginning of the month. I had taken myself off because, you know, I have a medical degree and all, so I’m qualified to make that decision. I hate, hate, hate taking anything, even Advil…even vitamins. I may not [...]

I needed a new look…Marti and Vicky both changed theirs, so I had to follow suit. I love this one because I could add my own picture at the top. And I am showcasing my absolute favorite tree—the jacaranda tree. So beautiful. This isn’t a picture I personally took, however, but there are some here [...]

Yesterday’s post had a definite negative aura to it. So I thought I’d try to balance things out today by posting two really cute things that made me so very happy. Please click on the pictures to get a bigger view.
The first is a love note Jordan wrote to me. He ran out of room [...]

(Sing that to the tune of U2’s “Sunday, Bloody Sunday”…and in my case, I mean “bloody” in the English curse word sense…not the blood shed referred to in U2’s song).
Getting up at 5:30 this morning was treacherous. Though really, I don’t know what I’m complaining about. I have an intern who has taken over my [...]

Well, it’s Friday, and I would like to know WHERE DID MY WEEK GO??? [lol] I cannot believe I go back to school Monday. The only thing on my ‘to do’ list that I can cross off is “cleaned out fridge”. It looks so nice. Oh, and I have worked out every day except Tuesday [...]

Spring Break officially begins today. It was nice not having to wake up at 5:30 a.m.! After twelve years of teaching, I am still not a morning person, and it’s never gotten easier getting up so early. I guess it’s never going to happen. I am a night owl down to my bones.
I don’t have [...]

I have many. I guess I’m just easily irritated (?). But it’s like nails on a chalkboard for me when I hear someone misuse the word “seen”. Example of incorrect use: “I seen it.” No, you HAVE seen it. How can it not sound wrong to people who say, “I seen it”?? Grrrrr.
Another pet peeve I have [...]

I was perusing my “O” [Oprah] magazine today and found a quote I love:
“One of the greatest feelings in life is the conviction that you have lived the life you wanted to live—with the rough and the smooth, the good and the bad—but yours, shaped by your own choices, and not someone else’s.” ~~Michael Ignatieff
I [...]
